Using Manycam, I thought it may be interesting to present the users I encounter with a video of themselves.

I found that there are 2 primary users of chatroullete, those who are looking to “entertain” their “partner” and those who are looking to be “entertained” by their partner. Presenting these users with themselves threw a wrench in their expectations and provided me with some interesting results.

The music is not mine, it was composed by Angelo Badalamenti for Twin Peaks. It was the only music on my laptop (I keep my media on a harddrive that was elsewhere at the time of editing). The music ended up very much shaping the video, making it much more chilling than I originally intended.

Today, VF_DOS_ and I made the new video for Wonder Lock off of his new album Sour Scene (which is damn good imo, seriously).

I also made a booklet for VF_DOS_ containing all of the post-its found in the video. It’s a one-of-a-kind item. Here are some photos:

Tonight (because you are probably reading this on Wednesday) I will be discussing some of my video work with curator Vin Forte. We will be featuring about 15 of my shorts and discussing all sorts of stuffy sounding concepts and ideas.

The (not so) enigmatic VF_DOS_ asked me to direct his first music video. the song is Space Terror.

Update: Pop Tarts Suck Toasted picked it up. He said some nice words.

Update: Fork/Knife just made the song (with video) it’s song of the week.

After hashing out our concept and shooting something completely different, I’m glad the final project is closer to the original idea. I think I’ll put together an alternate video with all the crazy stuff we shot that day.

Today I woke up at 6:30am and decided to make these videos that have been in my head for about 3 months. It’s called “Slow-Mo Bro.”

The premise is simple, I take videos of “Bros” (or “Douchebags” or “Guidos”) and put them in slow motion.

Granted, these videos can be hard to watch, but I think there are some priceless moments in them. Check them out if you have some time.

I made this and ended up using it to promote DAPS’ upcoming film night where we will be premiering “HoboSwap.”

Obviously all materials are borrowed.

BONUS: Convo about the video

I went and got a 12seconds account.

The site is REALLY rough but it’s a cool idea. I don’t know if this will take off like twitter, but it’s a cool idea. Now that I thought it out, it definitely wont take off like twitter.

It’s a cute novelty that has an ugly widget on my page.
