It looks like the size of a Google image preview. Like, when you do a GOOG image search it dynamically creates its own thumbs of the search results with long ass filenames. Maybe your face comes up under a certain search term somehow…?

I’ve stop using facebook and Twitter. Here’s why: I’ve never used them to begin with. Facebook, well. The last thing I want in life is to get in touch with people from the sorted past. Twitter, well. I just can’t seem to grasp the word “Tweet” or the expression “Follow Me” as being cool. Tweet or Twit or Tweedle. I just can’t dig it. Mia, on the other hand loves Facebook. I do understand that Twitter suits you better though. I see Mia spending (wasting) mass amounts of time on Facebook. While Tweed-el-ing only takes but a minute.

I tried google reader and it was pretty good, but I like Safari’s interface a bit more. Plus I can use it offline!

I too have an obsession with keeping all my feeds “at zero” which hopefully will ease up now that i’m using safari and not mail.

First, I’d like to point out that my criticism of the advertisements is NOT a criticism of the company. As someone who uses a storage facility, I appreciate the service immensely. It saves me TONS of money every month.

My primary gripe with the ads is the invention of words with completely incorrect, and unneeded, accent marks. I understand the idea of these ads, and how they are re-defining what using storage is, but at least make the words pronounceable.

Secondary gripe: These ads just aren’t as good as your previous ones. I liked the controversy, it got people talking. This set completely falls under that mark. (no matter what the press release states.) [I am aware that I am talking about them, but I don't think this is what was in mind.]

Tertiary gripe: They just don’t look good. Mostly because they use the “not quite, but just as bad, Comic Sans” typeface. Also the photography is way blown out and looks washed. Before posting, I took a look at your website and past ads and saw this set as inferior. You have an excellent visual presence which has obviously worked for you, these ads may remind people of the name they already know, but they just “don’t work” in impressing a “new brand” upon me.

“Is it lazy to make lemonaide out of lemons? It is weird to accept reality and adapt to changeing circumstances?” – No. I never said that was the case. The ‘laziness’ I spoke of is the actions being depicted in the images. I’ll take that, admittedly, underhanded statement back.

The sentiment of these ads is one I can relate to. Being a young New Yorker on my own, money is tight. I just don’t ever want to be typified by a silly PR generated buzz word with gratuitous accent marks. (and can incorrect usage really help bridge the gap with foreign language speaking New-New Yorkers?)

I’ll admit, the post was a bit hyperbolic, but then again, what post on this site isn’t?

Besides the lack of evil Comic Snas, we are so very curious about what is so very horrible about the campaign if you would be so kind to allaborate.

We have seen, first hand, changes and difficult choice that peole in New York have had to make based on the current economic crisis, and the ads were, in part, based on maybe providing other options and ideas to make downsizing and budegt chruches less painful.
Is it lazy to make lemonaide out of lemons? It is weird to accept reality and adapt to changeing circumstances?
A lot of thought, care and concern for New Yorkers having hard times actually did go into this Manhattan Mini Storage Ad campaign.
Wondering where you feel we missed the mark…
