augiemania ORLY?

17 to Midnight

In case you didn’t know, I am the Executive Producer of Nick Caccese’s latest film, 17 to Midnight.

(note: Nick took home the Best Screenplay award, and was nominated for Best Picture at the Staten Island Film Festival this past Summer.)

We are shooting this weekend (Sunday) and are rehearsing this Friday (tomorrow) and Saturday. Each day noon – ???.

I am in a bit of a bind, one of our minor roles had to be given up by the actor originally cast due to personal reasons.

I am looking for a male actor, in their 20’s – early 30’s. The role has about 4-6 lines and has room for improving. You will be required on the set during the entire shooting process. (it’s a short, in one take…. yeah, were crazy.)

If you, or anyone you know are interested please feel free to contact me, or my producer Chris.

I’ll be at the Staten Island Film Festival this weekend

Over the past 2 years, I have been working on a film called Fan Directed by my buddy Nick Caccese. I believe my creits were “Director of Photography” and “Producer”.

A few months ago I found out we got into the Staten Island Film Festival. As it turns out the film is nominated for Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Picture. w00t!!!!!!

So That’s where I’ll be tonight, at 9pm, at the College of Staten Island building 1P. Watching Fan. Also, tomorrow at noon. Here is a link to the schedule as a PDF.

I would have loved to added a picture of the Poster, but the website is terrible. That’s what you get when you hire Mindsaw and not NBTechnologies.

Halloween

Mikey MyersI just saw the new Halloween by Rob Zombie. Disappointing!!!

Heres the rundown:

  • Too long and too boring
  • Rob Zombie ran out of ‘good’ ideas
  • Lame Casting
  • Too much giggling from teen girls (although the sexy parts were accurate)
  • Zombie relied on old stylistic tricks
  • the back story of Michael Myers wasn”t really interesting enough (although the step father dude was kinda hysterical).

There were some redeeming points though like the Taxi Driver homage after the family is killed, and the teen boobs, they were hot!

The Ladies Man…

…was just on TV recently. Here’s my favorite quote:

What is love? What is this longing in our hearts for togetherness? Is it not the sweetest flower? Does not this flower of love have the fragrant aroma of fine, fine diamonds? Does not the wind love the dirt? Is not love not unlike the unlikely not it is unlikened to? Are you with someone tonight? Do not question your love. Take your lover by the hand. Release the power within yourself. Your heard me, release the power. Tame the wild cosmos with a whisper. Conquer heaven with one intimate caress. That’s right don’t be shy. Whip out everything you got and do it in the butt. By Leon Phelps

Do it in the butt.
