Before I begin with the celebration, I’d like to give a brief history of augiemania (not the friday the 13th crap which has been regurgitated over and over again [which I should put back on the about page...]) as a website in itself.

I bought augiemania.com a few years back as an alternative to carlomontagnino.com (which now just redirects here). CM.com was my “bloggy/portfolio/stuffy” blog where is posted all the silly photoshops and crap. I also learned a lot about wordpress on it.

I need to get away from CM.com so I began using augiemania as a big crazy non-dynamic HTML website where graphics like this:

were dancing in my background. It had links to all my silly things and I felt very free using it.

As I began finding myself, on the internet and in reality, I decided the CM.com front was gayyo and I turned it into a shitty blog that was more like your girlfriend when compared to her younger sister. I think I just hated having my name as a URL…

augiemania began boring me (like any web site I have ever made after 3 months) so I decided that I had to settle down and just make it a blog, for maintenance sake. (I was sick and tired of ridiculous HTML coding and redundant CSS [i am very unorganized at points].)

After a few theme changes I finally stuck with my SelfishJerk theme (v1.0 available for download!!!) and decided to post about whatever. I am not a blogger, nor do I ever intend on learning how to be (although DAPS may challenge that ideal [actually, it already has].)

Anyway enough about that crap. After the jump the celebration continues…

On April 30th DAPS will be taking over Martini Red’s Wednesday film night. We will be showing vids, doing lie stuff and having our friends Paper Bombs play along side with the Wahoo Skiffle Crazies.

Yes, April 3rd is my 24th birthday and you know I couldn’t let it pass without a party.

On the 3rd, I will be arriving at the Swiss at around 7pm to drink and watch the Ranger - Islander game. Come down if you wanna watch the game. Don’t come if you wanna run your food hole all night.

My good friend Michele will be throwing a Curious George themed birthday party just like the ones I had at Uncle Bobby’s Bagels (for you Bensonhurst heads). A night of pure drunk will follow surely. Pictures will be posted, I promise.

Well I have just configured TextMate to blog for me using the blogging bundle. Most likely I will be posting more frequently because I practically live in TextMate now.

$DAPS = well, the dog and pony show website launched and that makes me happy. The rough part about this is keeping content fresh and entertaining AND keeping everyone happy to boot. Already there have been disagreements, but there is always a resolution.

$realCosts = Last night was eyebeam’s Feedback exhibit. Michael Mandiberg was showing off the Real Costs plugin. This project is currently getting much bigger so expect more from it soon. I’m really excited to be part of it.

$northPoint = I recently became a Consultant for North Point solutions. This is really cool company and I am finding myself not hating the am hours (weird!)

$moving = I recently moved out of my house and into the spare room in Dave’s apartment. Many thanks to him for putting up with my alarm clocks, oh and for letting me live there too. Yes, this is Davecast Dave, the only Dave I know.
