I created this Wordpress for this site. If you like it download it.

Notes on this theme that you should pay attention to.

  • this theme works best with one post showing at a time.
  • you can fix this if you like, but I don’t care enough to do so.
  • If you have created a fix, please let me know at me@carlomontagnino.com.
  • to implement the custom fields correctly, create a key called “supplement”
  • the logo in the footer file should be a 93px square. change the img src in the footer.php file, you can also change the text quite easily. please mind the line breaks
  • the archive and search files may be a bit buggy to resolve this just delete them.
  • feel free to change whatever you like, enjoy!

Super Fast! February 26, 2007 1:57 pm

Super Fast
I like cars that go super fast. Right after I made this I started looking through old Vogue (Italian), Elle (American), and L’Officiel (Paris) magazines from the mid 80’s (thanks Kristin!). Some really dope shit, holy crap!!! I’ll show my results in the coming weeks.

Fun with Copy Machines! February 23, 2007 2:40 pm

Photocopy 6
Bored between classes, I started playing with the copy machine in the library. I took the copies home and printed a distorted image from the movie Far From Heaven. The photocopy is of a dollar bill (as well as copies of copies of a dollar bill) increased by random percentages (75% - 400%) and the photos was taken off of my television at F4.91.3 ISO400 with no flash and a weird white balance.

see the rest of the photocopies…

Look For This! [DON'T COPY] February 18, 2007 2:29 am

DON’T COPY! 2/18/07
This sticker is actually from 2 stencils I made for some spray painting I was doing. I found the file whiles looking for a pic for my YouTube page background (don’t ask). Any way it’s from a photo series I did like last year called DON’T COPY. You may have seen it.

Polaroids from Germany February 15, 2007 8:22 pm

Photos from Germany
I’ve uploaded my Polaroids from the weekend I spent in Germany and Amsterdam. You can view them at http://www.augiemania.com/germany_amsterdam.html.

The photos break down into three categories (although you wouldn’t be able to tell from the way I’ve arranged them); Stuff in the Cities, My Hotel, and My Girlfriend Kristin.

About 1/3 to 1/2 of the Polaroids have this weird line on the writing area, I guess to aid in writing, don’t mind those. I know I don’t. I just wish that the boxes would contain that information. I could imagine someone getting very upset…

Anyways, I had a blast and I would like to go back.

P.S. I visited Cologne (Köln). Quiet city, nice stuff, Great Beer.

Happy Valentines Day!

CSI Student Exhibition February 3, 2007 10:16 pm

everyone failed
Some of my photographs have been selected to be in the Annual CSI Student Exhibition. My final will also be hung. [For those that don't know, its 96 Polaroid images tiled against a 4x3 board. (I got an A suckas!)] This occasion will mark the first time that anything I’ve done will be exhibited, and even though it’s a student exhibition that’s buried in the basement of 1P, I am really proud.

See a map of the location.

The exhibition is being held in building 1P The Center for the Arts. As to where in that building it is, I’m sure there will be signs in the lobby or main hall. It opens on Wednesday, February 7th, at 2:30 PM.
